Sail Able Association of Nova Scotia is a non-profit organization located in Halifax. We offer pleasure sails, learn to sail, and competitive sailing opportunities for children and adults with disabilities in a safe and inclusive environment. Our specially designed boats (Martin 16’s) were made specifically with the disabled community in mind. Martin 16’s can be sailed by hand, joystick or sip and puff assistive technology, combined with a seat that has side laterals, chest strap, and optional headrest. This makes our boats widely accessible and anyone can experience the sense of freedom and fun that comes with sailing. Starting late June, individuals will be able to register and sign up for morning or afternoon sailing sessions. Each session is approximately an hour and a half. We operate out of the Royal Nova Yacht Squadron, at 2372 Purcells Cove Road and sail in the picturesque NorthWest Arm. Our program runs for approximately 8 weeks in 2021 so there will be plenty of opportunities to go sailing. For information on fees email sailorship.award@gmail.com and for other informatilon email sailablens@gmail.com and check out our Facebook page at www.facebook.com/sailablenovascotia
